Nefyn and the surrounding area from the air
Nefyn
The small town of Nefyn is situated beside a long sandy beach on the north-west coast of the Llŷn Peninsula, Gwynedd. A stone jetty provides shelter for fishing and sailing boats, a reminder of the importance of the herring fishing industry to the town in the past.
Nefyn is overlooked by the Iron Age hillfort of Garn Boduan, where the remains of hut circles and defensive walls are can still be seen.
